Great Camp Sagamore
Great Camp Sagamore is well known for its dedicated and loyal volunteer force and a model for environmental volunteerism. This great camp is no longer a place for the rich and famous, but one dedicated to environmental stewardship, preserving Adirondack history, and creating a shared space for personal growth. At the core of this beautiful place, is a back bone of volunteers who dedicate hours and years of their lives to keep the buildings, grounds and trails for future generations. Without their help, Great Camp Sagamore would cease to be what it is today. The volunteers are family who brave black files, snow, rain, scrapes, bruises, and aching muscles to keep this special place in the Adirondack accessible to the public and as captivating as it always was and is.
