Illustration: Through illustration, Jessica can collaborate with you to develop a graphic or series of graphics to help tell your story or convey information. We can bring word heavy reports alive with hand drawn illustrations. Using a graphic recording style of illustration, Jessica can develop a one page visual summary of information to use in communicating findings. Smaller illustrations can be developed to help enliven slide decks and place into reports.
Jessica approaches her work through a systems thinking lens; working to build connections and relationship between information. She utilizes a variety of digital and analog tools to create illustrations.
Work Samples:
This image was the first in three images that visualized the data captured during a series of interviews. Data would be gathered, Jessica would draw, more data and writing would occur, and Jessica would draw. The process was iterative in nature, with the client gaining more understanding about their work as Jessica shared in progress drawings with the current data set. This process was duplicated two more times, as the number of interviewees increased. The final drawing was shared and used to walk the CEO through the findings during the debrief session. The final report contained all three summary images, graphics developed for the slide deck and hand drawn headlines to focus attention.
